Spring 2012 Gardening Programs The Green Thumb garden series at the Greenwood Lake Public Library presents its Spring 2012 gardening programs with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Master Gardeners. Cornell’s Master Gardeners return this spring to present the following two educational gardening programs at the Library: Fruitful Containers – Thursday, May 10th, 2012, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For those with limited space, growing fruits and vegetables in containers is a wonderful option. Explore the best plants for growing in containers with Cornell’s Master Gardeners at this fruitful gardening program. Ground Covers – Tuesday, May 29th, 2012, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Join Cornell’s Master Gardeners at this gardening program that “covers” the many types of Ground Covers available, their benefits, growing requirements, and how to use them in the garden. You’ll be surprised to learn how many choices of ground covers are available. Don’t miss these educational gardening programs by the Master Gardeners to help you beautify your yard and enjoy the bounty from your garden! Registration is required for these free ADULT programs either in person or by telephone at (845) 477-8377 Ext. 101. Seating is limited; early registration suggested. | ||||||
