Carol Graser will read at the next program in the Poetry on the Loose Reading/Performance Series. The event will be held at23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf at the Seligmann Estate at3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7. Following the feature, others are welcome to read original work. Admission is free. Carol Graser is the author of The Wild Twist of Their Stems. Her poetry has appeared in regional journals such as Screed, Salvage and Metroland as well as in numerous national publications like Lullwater Review, Berkeley Poetry Review, The Worcester Review, The MacGuffin and Eureka Literary Magazine. Well-known as the host of the monthly poetry reading series atSaratoga’s legendary Caffè Lena, she has read her poetry throughout the area at community events, fund-raisers, and anti-war rallies as well as other poetry venues. She has also worked with an accomplished jazz composer and a percussionist, creating performance pieces that blend music and poetry. She lives in Providence, a tiny hamlet in the Adirondacks of upstateNew York. The next Poetry on the Loose reading will be held at 3:30on August 4 and will feature Carolee Sherwood.
