W.Rogowski Farm Dairy Month Celebration and Open House
Bring Your Whole Family To Sample Local Dairy Products

Rogowski Farm.Open House.Dairy ProductsThe black dirt region is known for its produce but dairy is also a big part of our areas farming heritage. Come celebrate dairy month on Saturday June 30th from 10am until 2pm. Visitors to the W. Rogowski Farm can meet Orange County's Dairy Court and sample fresh milks, cheeses, ice cream and gelato at the Dairy Bar. While at the farm you can meet your farmer, take a tour, learn about CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and the farm's Certified Naturally Grown program, as well as sustainability methods used on the farm.

Orange County Dairy Court will be at the farm starting at 10am with games and presentations about dairy production in our region, geared for grade school age children. The farm will also have a dairy bar where everyone can sample a variety of dairy products from local Hudson Valley dairies such as Hudson Valley Fresh, Ronnybrook and Pampered Cow. Ice cream samples from a variety of creameries will be available, as well as gelato from the farm’s own Black Dirt Gourmet.

The farm provides produce for communities throughout the Hudson Valley Region and down into New York City. In 1998 the W. Rogowski Farm was one of the early adopters of the CSA model in this region. Cheryl Rogowski described the humble beginnings of their family’s farm, " … little did Dad know when he started what might have been one of the first farm stands in Pine Island, with only a pallet of onions and a coffee can, that his farm would become the welcoming haven that it is today." Cheryl went on to say that “Dad was critically aware of how important it is to the health of our communities to have access to farm-fresh, naturally grown food. We continue his tradition by helping parents teach their own children about their relationship to their food, sustainability of the land, the farm and their community.”

About The Farm: The W.Rogowski Farm is a second generation, family-operated farm located at 329 Glenwood Rd, Pine Island, NY 10969, in the magnificent black dirt region of Pine Island in the Town of Warwick in Orange County, NY. The farm is Certified Naturally Grown, meaning that the farm follows strict standards equal to or more rigid than USDA-certified organic. Old-fashioned family values and a progressive attitude gives the farm an atmosphere of warmth and welcome. For more information about this and other events - please visit www.RogowskiFarm.com.
