One part Americana, two parts Folk, a dash of Country-flavored rock - all served up by multi award-winning, chart-topping songstress LORETTA HAGEN (hay-gen)
Loretta Hagen delivers rich alto vocals, polished award winning lyrics and tightly woven harmonies; the hallmark of her musical career. A 2011 winner of the NJ Folk Festival Songwriter Competition, Loretta recently released her third CD, Mud and Stone, featuring uplifting heartfelt ballads, playful up-tempo country swing, and cool bluesy grooves. “Mud and Stone” debuted at #10 on Folk DJ Charts, consistently #1 on the Roots Music Report for NJ, #5 Top 50 Folk Albums RMR, and is receiving airplay throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Loretta has shared the stage with Roger McGuinn, Steve Forbert, Richie Havens, Gretchen Wilson to name a few and plays premiere stages across the Northeast. Loretta’s melodies leave folks feeling as if they are listening to their own stories set to song.
Following her critically acclaimed CD Something More,
"Loretta's manner and voice are imbued with such quiet, unassuming grace that you don't realize at first that she has completely stolen your heart!" - Laura Foord, Heights House Concerts
Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan, an Americana/Jersey Shore/Rock & Roll band, released their 12th CD on SCR/Schoolhouse Records, titled "Down Here By The River," in 2010. D'Urso's fierce independence, dynamic stage presence and altruistic nature have led him down a road less traveled. As an artist, D'Urso has embraced his Indy status. In the process he has created a flourishing global fan base with each CD/Tour and his catalog of music is released on his own label, SCR/Schoolhouse Records.
