Canning Club

The Canning Club is back for its third season! Spots are limited and tend to fill up quickly, so sign up today! This year's canning club will from every Thursday from August 16 - September 20.

Learn to preserve all those great summer garden vegetables and fruits and stretch your grocery dollars by canning. This hands-on workshop will teach you the basics of canning and/or freezing, including how to use water bath canners to preserve pickles, jam, and vegetables. We will provide fresh produce and ask that you bring six pint size (8 oz. for the peach jam session) canning jars with new seals and new lids. Canning jars are available at the West Milford Shoprite.

Workshops will start at 6:30pm and take place in the kitchen of the West Milford Presbyterian Church. Please register and pay for a workshop above or by calling or emailing Megan Fink at 585-730-9985 or mfink@milcomgroup.com The workshops cost $20. Payment is due at the time of registration and can be paid here with paypal or by cash or check.

During the workshop you will receive a note-card with recipe and full instruction in canning along with tips and guidelines. Please sign up by Monday, August 13th as size is limited to 12 per class.
