SMALL TOWN SHEIKS:
Based in New York's Hudson Valley, Small Town Sheiks call on their wide variety of musical talents and influences to create a unique sound that serves as a foundation for songs that draw on all facets of the human experience. Steeped deeply in the roots of the American musical tradition, they employ a simple formula: The Song is The Focus. Although each is an accomplished instrumentalist, they never lose sight that the purpose of music is to touch the listener with song. To this end, they provide an eclectic musical frame for the picture that the songs’ words paint.

SMALL TOWN SHEIKS are:

Johnny B. Irizarry(Guitar, Piano, Vocals) has been writng since he hung out as a kid in the streets of New York City.
A fan of all genres of music, he has become an eclectic story teller with a voice that aims for the heart at a time when the world seems to have gone wrong.
His songs have a personal intimicy while still being capable of speaking to a broad audience.
An accomplished showman, Johnny's live performances are engaging and powerful with the passion that comes from being a seasoned journeyman.
With his longtime musical partner, Mike Smith, they've formed SMALL TOWN SHEIKS to bring Johnny's songs to the masses.

Mike Smith (Harmonicas, Mandolin)- Mike began playing harp when he was 6 years old. Although he would learn a variety of instruments, he chose the harp as the vehicle that best expresses the music inside him. Mike has played with numerous blues, rock and country bands, but SMALL TOWN SHEIKS finally reunites him with, Johnny B. Irizarry his musical partner of many years.

The debut cd by SMALL TOWN SHEIKS, "Songs For Parker" was produced by 3 time Grammy Winner and TEC award recipient Steve Remote of Aura Sonic ltd and is available at cdbaby, itunes, amazon.com and other outlets.
